Brampton A's vs London Lightning
The Brampton A's have won their third straight after a high scoring 131-118 victory Sunday afternoon over the London Lightning. A back n' forth first half saw Brampton jump out to a 61-50 lead going into the half. Brampton took advantage of the Lightning's first half turnover struggles, cashing in 13 first half points off turnovers.
London would start off the second half the right way with a 10-2 run behind two 3 pointers. Despite the quick offensive burst, and closing the A's lead to only 5, they would not be able to get over the hump and sustain the run long enough to overtake Brampton.
London again struggled to keep pace with a teams height and depth, this time that of the Brampton front line. Depth and height issues continue to plague the Lightning. Brampton also had major contribution from their bench as the A's second unit outscored the Lightning's bench 63-24.
Marvin Phillips was up to his usual standards posting a monster 20-20 double-double with 26 points and 20 rebounds. Johnny Hart and Emmanuel Little both added 22 a piece. AL Stewart rounded out the scoring by adding 16 respectively.
The Brampton A's played a complete team game as 8 players scored in double digits led by Richard Amardi's 21 points on 8-15 shooting. Tyshwan Edmondson chipped in 18 points while Ashton Smith and Anthony Harris both dropped 17. Flenard Whitfield added a double-double off the bench with a respectable 14-11.
Brampton moves to 3-5 on the season while London falls to 6-4.

Island Storm vs St. John Mill Rats
The Island Storm faced off against the St. John Mill Rats sunday afternoon. The Storm faithful came out to cheer on their home team. This was the first home game for the Storm after a 7 game road trip.
The outgunned and undermanned Mill Rats would throw everything they could at the Storm. After the storm took a 67-53 half time lead. St. John would outscore the Storm 34-23 behind the hot hands of Anthony Anderson and Kenny Jones. Despite only playing 8 players, and only having a total of 9 bench points, St. John would push The Island Storm to the end of the game matching them point for point in the final frame.
Island Storm player Rashad Whack would follow his best performance of the season with an even better one by leading the Storm with a complete all around game of 24 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Brandon Robinson continued his strong play by adding 21 points to the team total and co-leading his squad in rebound with 8. Louis Birdsong Jr (13), Mike Williams (14), Nick Evans (10), and Olu Famutimi (11) also scored in double digits for the Storm.
Anthony Anderson led the Mill Rats with a game high 39 points with 7 three pointers. The Mill Rats got 24 points from power forward Kenny Jones. Despite struggling to score, center Eric Crookshank gobbled up a game high 17 rebounds on the night. Rookie Jabs Newby scored 14 points, while Anthony Winbush would more than double his season scoring average with 12 points as a starter.
The Island Storm grab a hold of the Atlantic Division with their 4th win in a row and now boast a 5-4 record. St. John now falls to 3rd in the division with a 4-5 record.
