Gameday -- December 26th, 2014

Moncton Miracles vs. Island Storm

The red-hot Moncton Mircales take on the Island Storm at the Eastlink Centre on Boxing Day Friday. The 5-8 Miracles are now on a three game win-streak, after beating the 7-6 Storm in Moncton 118-104 back on Saturday.

The Storm's 3-1 home record will be on-the-line, along with the top spot in the division. The Storm will be thankful for the Christmas break, leading the league with 13 games played so far this season.

Moncton, who could be the story of the month, have won three straight after falling to a 2-8 record at the start of December. Stanely Robinson lead the team with two double-double performances in those first two wins but failed to contribute as much in the third win against the Storm. Travyon Lathan, Dwyane Smith, DeQuan Brooks and Chris Mathews all stepped up with over 18 points each for the Miracles, whose bench players average 44ppg in 20mpg this season.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. To watch the game live, check-out the player below.

Halifax Rainmen vs. Saint John Mill Rats

In the other Boxing Day game, the league-worst Saint John Mill Rats head to Halifax to take on the Rainmen at the Scotiabank Centre.

These two teams met before the Christmas break as well, with Halifax edging the Mill Rats 106-104 at Harbour Station on December 20th. With that win, Halifax moved to a record of 6-5, while the Mill Rats moved to a league-worst record of 4-9.

Halifax's stingy defense (11spg, 4.9blg) will likely have an easy assignment against the league's second worst offence (103ppg). According to RealGM's eDiff stat, which averages out a team's differential through individual efficiency scores, Saint John comes in dead-last at -10 (a full four points behind the -6 Mississauga Power). Halifax comes in second with a 5.6 eDiff rating.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. To watch the game live, checkout the player below.
