London 109-103 Niagara

The London Lightning notched their seventh win in a row on Friday, taking down the Niagara River Lions 109-103.

London used their strong rebounding play (outrebounding Niagara 56-43, 17 offensive rebounds, 25 second-chance points) to give them a 10-2 record.

River Lions standout Logan Stutz fouled out of the game after posting eight points.

Nick Okorie led the game with 26 points.

The Lightning will continue their three-games-in-three-nights run on Saturday when they host Moncton. Niagara, who are now 4-10, will host Saint John on Wednesday.

Orangeville 111-110 Moncton

Orangeville edged Moncton on Friday, taking down the Miracles 111-110 at the Athletic Institute.

The game was tied 110-110 with just 36 seconds to go before a last-minute free throw from Rick Bodiford sealed the win for the 4-6 A's.

Orangeville's Justin Moss led the game with 18 points.

Moncton, who are now 5-8, will continue their Ontario road trip on Saturday when they take on the London Lightning. The A's will take a week off before hosting Windsor on Friday.

Island 100 -94 Windsor 

The new-look Island Storm kicked off their two-game Ontario road trip with a win on Friday, taking down the explosive Windsor Express 100-94.

Joe Salerno's Storm started out with a 31-19 lead through the first quarter. However, the Express battled back, bringing the game to a 94-94 scoreline with 1:01 left in the game.

Friday's game was the debut for Island's Josiah Turner (eight points, eight assists), Morgan Lewis (four points), Tirrell Baines (three assists, two points), and George Beaman (three assists).

Brent Jennings led the game with 25 points.

The Storm will move on to play London on Sunday. Windsor will host the Lightning on Wednesday.
