Island 90-88 Halifax

Halifax remained undefeated against the Island Storm this season (4-0) on Friday with close 90-88 win at Scotiabank Centre.

Despite a strong fourth quarter (28-13), the Storm were unable to crack the Atlantic-leading Hurricanes, who moved up to a record of 10-4.

The win keeps Halifax undefeated in their season series with the Storm, going 4-0 through their first four encounters.

Nick Evans had 18 points and 12 boards for the Storm, who drop to a record 6-10. Justin Johnson had 18 points for the Hurricanes.

The Storm will take on Moncton at Moncton Coliseum on Sunday. Halifax will host the Storm next Saturday.

Windsor 89-88 Orangeville

The Orangeville A's got a crucial home win on Friday, taking down Windsor 89-88 thanks to a three pointer from Rick Bodiford.

The A's jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter (27-19) before getting into a dogfight with the NBLC's best defence.

Bodiford's three-pointer, which came with just three seconds to go, sent Orangeville to a 5-6 record

Orangeville will host Niagara on Saturday. Windsor, who are now 7-9, will take on the Central-leading Lightning in London on Saturday as well.
