Halifax 104-93 IslandA sloppy third quarter cost the Island Storm their fourth-straight loss on Monday when the Halifax Hurricanes slipped past them 104-93 at the Eastlink Centre.
The two teams, who played each other the day before in Halifax, were neck-and-neck through the first two frames. However, the Hurricanes, just as they did the day before, exploded in the third, outscoring the Storm 33-20.
Rashad Whack led the game and Storm with 25 points. Mike Glover scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Hurricanes who, at 21 wins, have the best record in the NBLC.
The Storm (10-19) will head to Ontario to start a two-game road trip on Thursday in Niagara. Halifax (21-8) will host Moncton next Thursday.
